--><\/p>\n<h2>Abstract<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daily activities, interpersonal relationship, employment, and general wellbeing; among such skills, communication skills are essential to a successful life for all individuals. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">Hearing impairment<\/a> at any age has serious effects on the day to day life of an individual and he or she feels handicapped socially, emotionally, and scholastically. This study was conducted in order to find out various causes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">hearing<\/a> impairment in children and to study role of various <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">audiological tests<\/a> in finding the cause of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">impaired hearing<\/a> in children. This study assess the possible etiological causes of hearing impairment in across age ranges and to compare the occurrence of conditions between the ages by carrying out a retrospective analysis of client records. A total number of 1000 of samples were selected from the audiologic caseload in the Hospital &amp; Star Key Hearing Rehabilitation Center in between the year of 2015 to 2020. Out of which 955 samples were selected. Due to incomplete documentation 45 samples were rejected. These samples were taken with the focus being on the age group of birth to 6 years. Possible etiological causes occurred most frequently in the entire population were consanguinity (29.6%), caesarean (28.3%), and infantile jaundice (20.1%). Investigated only case files from audiology clinic.
