As it progresses, it can cause serious eye problems up to blindness. Due to the development of technology, modern lifestyle and the demands of working long hours of the day, the problem of myopia is sometimes unavoidable. The present study aims to investigate how different types of combination therapies using different types of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/optometry\/\">contact lenses<\/a>\u00a0together with atropine or glasses affect the correction or progression of myopia. The methodology followed to investigate this issue was the bibliographic review of studies from the international literature. The search engines Pubmed, Cochrane and EmBase were used to search for studies. The limitations placed on the final selection of studies to be included in the literature review were related to their subject matter as well as their publication time. The results of the study showed that the use of the combination of orthokeratology contact lenses together with spectacles is quite effective in controlling myopia. Also, the study showed that the combination of soft contact lenses and atropine had controversial results as there are studies showing that there is a benefit from this combination while there are studies that do not show any difference in myopia control. Finally, most studies show that a combination of contact lenses with glasses or atropine in the eye has a positive effect in controlling myopia.
