whether a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">newborn hearing screening program<\/a>\u00a0may be implemented in Malawi to allow for the early identification and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saera.eu\/en\/audiology-programmes\/\">treatment of hearing loss<\/a>. The objectives include determining the efficacy and acceptability of the program as well as its cost-effectiveness and finding the best screening techniques, analyzing the program\u2019s results, and making implementation suggestions. The study\u2019s descriptive research methodology includes interviews, questionnaires, and a literature review. Findings point to issues with infrastructure, testing equipment, and the need for health education and awareness, as well as a paucity of qualified workers. The study emphasizes the value of educating parents and carers, enhancing screening service accessibility, and training medical staff.
