Therapy<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This research study focuses on\u00a0understanding the social communication skills\u00a0and quality of life of\u00a0Saudi youngsters who use hearing aids.\u00a0The study aims to fill the gap in knowledge regarding how\u00a0hearing aid technology impacts the social communication abilities and well-being\u00a0of Saudi children. Currently, there is a scarcity of research addressing this specific demographic, hindering the development of personalized support networks and interventions. The diverse cultural heritage and social transformation in Saudi Arabia make it an ideal setting to study the challenges faced by\u00a0youngsters using hearing aids. The research design used a descriptive approach, gathering quantitative data through self administered surveys. The sample consisted of twenty-seven Saudi Arabian children aged five to ten who has bilateral SNHL and use\u00a0hearing aids from the Makkah Institute\u00a0for Speech and Hearing (MISH). The findings indicate that most children reported a high quality of life when\u00a0using hearing aids.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study recommends solutions to further\u00a0enhance the benefits of hearing aids\u00a0and improve the lives of children with hearing impairments. In conclusion,\u00a0hearing\u00a0aids have shown promise in\u00a0improving speech and language skills, social communication and well-being for Saudi children with hearing impairments. However, more research, policy intervention, and cultural sensitivity are needed to address the complex interplay between technology, culture, family, education, and healthcare systems.
